Image-based modeling / 3D scanning
Image-based modeling is the process of creating 3D models from 2D images using photogrammetry.
Calibrating 360 photos leads to accurate full environment 3D reconstructions. It also allows HDR images to be fitted into tracking layout scenes or existing lidar scans, and can simplify the texturing work.
3D scanning results in a raw automatically-generated model (quite similar to lidar models).
